#theoriginalvalosetups Setup of the Week thanks Jeremy: Hi Fellas,
I just wanted to say, you guys are doing an excellent job on these skates, and in the skate culture. I just got back into skating after many years. I started when I was 15 and grew up watching jon julio, arlo eisenberg, aaron feinberg, fabiola desilva and others represent on the ASA tours and X games.
Then Poof, the sport left. I was outraged when the Xgames let go of inline street, and then inline all together. People wanted bigger, awesomer, grandiose spectacles, and quite quickly it turned into a sideshow at Ringling Brothers. I’m not saying that the Xgames sold out, but if the skate fits… (lame joke). Then, I got older. My friends got cars. Girls complicated the equation and slowly skating became stories i told. Recently, something changed (my waist line). I wanted to get back in shape, and i’m not a run on a treadmill kind of guy (hamster wheel for humans), so I dug out my Roces Khuti, and started skating again. It helped that I found a local skatepark. I started to feel good again, inspired, and realized that I loved the sport, and was sad i didn’t keep it up. As i started skating, I quickly realized i needed new skates, so I started searching. I always wanted a pair of Salomons… Hmmm they don’t exist anymore. Ok, well how about some USD’s… Hmmmm not my style. Then, like magic, Valo appeared. I started digging further. I bought the Valo4Life Vid on iTunes, and it suddenly clicked. This crew, was like the crew i grew up skating with. It felt like old times watching the vid. Also, the Shred Till You’re Dead II vid. It was like watching my own old home videos. I didn’t just buy Valos because they’re great skates, or that they are built from the staple of Roces, but because of the philosophy behind Valo. The people, the crew, the lifestyle. It all goes into the skates and the brand. I appreciated that fact. VALO4LIFE!
Now, without further adieu, my skate setup pic - Valo TV 2013, with Create Originals II Frames, Alex Broskow Inserts, AMall Wheels, Themgoods Chris Haffey Pro Bearings, taken at Flushing Skate Park in Queens, NY.
